Review:
After a long and checkered movie career, Madonna finally realizes her blonde
ambition in this big-screen adaptation of the rags-to-riches life story of
Argentine legend Eva Peron. It's quite simply her finest moment both as an
actress and a singer. She's aided by a sympathetic director in the
music-minded Alan Parker, a memorable score by Time Rice and Andrew Lloyd
Webber and high-calibre performances by Antonio Bandares, Jonathan Pryce and
Jimmy Nail.
